- We keep usage and diagnostic metadata, model name and token counts, never your content, plus your account and billing

The thinking happens in the cloud.
An AI team has to reason, and that reasoning runs on models too large for a laptop. So prompts, which can include excerpts of the file or email you're working on, travel through Maxiful's model proxy to the AI provider. We process them transiently to route the request, store only usage metadata, and none of it is used to train models. That's the one thing that leaves your machine, and we'd rather tell you plainly than pretend otherwise.

We do not have a copy of anything on your machine, and the instructions your team follows are files you can open and change.
- No standing access to your deviceWe can't see, reach, or retrieve what's on your machine. If you ever need hands-on support, we ask for explicit, time-limited permission first.
- You stay the data controllerFor the client data your team processes locally, you remain the data controller. If you handle personal data for your business, you're responsible for the lawful basis, and your machine is where it lives.
- Skills you can read and editA skill is a readable instruction file, not a black box. Open it, and change how your firm does things, the way you'd brief a new hire.
On certifications, plainly.
We hold no formal certification such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, or BSI. Our security rests on architecture, keeping your data on your own machine, rather than on a certificate on the wall. A firm handling client data deserves the honest version, not a badge that implies more than it means.
Signed installers.
Both desktop apps are signed: macOS is notarized by Apple, and Windows carries a Certum OV certificate.

- Every release ships with a SHA-256 checksum shown next to the download, so you can verify the file you got is the file we built.
